Firstly I apologize for the slightly out-of-focus images; I believe it was caused by little finger smudges from a certain toddler who shall remain nameless.
These photos were all taken right before naptime, i.e., right before Mama did clean-up #133 of the day, so you can see our house in all its toddler glory (i.e., mess)! (Pictures of the boys’ room to come. It was naptime after all).

I’m having trouble downloading pictures from my camera to my computer, which is pretty awful because not only are some of Porter’s first pictures on my camera but I also have a video of a naked Ezra grooving to U2’s “Get on Your Boots.”

I was supposed to meet a good friend from Pasadena at the Wild Animal Park, but child sickness on her end meant we’re going to have to reschedule. Without much of a plan for the day, I started checking out other options and came across Bates Nut Farm that has a huge pumpkin patch in North San Diego County.
Bryce, Ezra and I had a great time exploring the pumpkin patch and taking loads of pictures. Ezra was especially proud of his newly acquired walking skills and liked to play the drums on all the huge pumpkins. We came home with a 76-pound pumpkin to adorn our doorstep. It should last about 3 months as we don’t plan to carve it.
I was at the hospital having pitocin-induced contractions and could only make it through them standing up. At 6:20 pm Ezra Chalmers Hales came into the world via c-section. Happy first birthday son! It’s all been worth it.
