Recommend, gentle reader

Dear Reader(s):

Might you be kind enough to recommend a blog or two that you particularly enjoy? My blogroll (in my bookmarks section, not on our sidebar) seems to have grown a bit stale. I’d be happy to read anything that’s particularly interesting in most any category. So if Joe Schmoe has a blog that simply updates us on him and his family — and I don’t know Joe Schmoe — please do not recommend his blog; if, however, he blogs about things that cater to a wider audience (the arts, family, religion, philosophy, etc), then by all means, please pass it on.

Thank you kindly.

    Ok a couple of political blogs - littlegreenfootballs.com, hughhewitt.com, and hillaryspot.nationalreview.com. A “religious” blog referenced by Hugh markddroberts.com written by the former pastor of Irvine Pres. A witty blog from the other side of the restaurant table waiterrant.net which explains why we should tip more. And finally you can follow the sailing adventures of the Leus at http://www.sailblogs.com/member/leucat. Other than those, I look at numerous news websites: CNN, BBC, ABC, Drudgereport, Foxnews, MSNBC, and USAToday.

    I read lots and lots of blogs, but am unsure they would really interest ya. Photography, scrapbooking, crafts, etc. There is a website I do like reading called http://www.dooce.com but. It’s not for everyone. I can send you many others if those subjects interest you. ;)

    Oh, and you could add me to the list since I am not on there. :(

    Here are some I read often:

    - julia.typepad.com - a mother of twin babies and an older boy, she struggled with infertility for several years after having her first and is a witty, entertaining writer.
    - http://moxie.blogs.com/askmoxie/ - I don’t necessarily agree with all of her views, but anyway, this blog is a question-and-answer site where readers send in their baby-/child-/family-related questions, and Moxie gives her answer and opens the comments for others to answer too. I have found some wisdom re: child sleep issues, toilet training, etc., and have been able to offer my two cents a few times.

    Lately I’ve been doing a lot of reading on my different yahoo groups (mostly autism related)… Perhaps there’s a special interest group that would be fun for you to join. :)

    P.S. I laughed at your (s) on Reader(s)–are you implying you have only one reader?

    Thanks for the recommendations so far. Well, Katie, re: 1 reader, you never know…

    A couple of interesting ones: first, The Search. A blog from a Christian hipster in LA who writes movie, TV, and music reviews. The guy’s dayjob is writing for Relevant magazine and he goes to John Tesh’s church. Also, for a laugh, try Stuff White People Like, though you probably already read it… ;)
