Banana

So, we have begun to start Ezra on solids. His first attempt was a banana; although he looks very interested in it, it came back up on both attempts. Next food: sweet potato!
Here’s the progression:

banana3

That takes me back! Euan won’t eat bananas now which is a pain. They say Avocado is good too as it is another no cook, but I don’t think the boys ever really took to it at that age, though Joel will eat it now.

Another one worth trying that’s really easy on the digestive system is pear, I used to stew it with a little water and mash it up, but if you prefer to give him chunky bits I would half it and steam it then you can cut it into bits you like. (I always found it tricky to find pears that were not rock hard)

My favourite (for me too!) was stewed apricots, whizzed in a blender and stir it into porridge.

I remember too the anxiety as they constantly gag on everything, it gets better quite quickly though.

Your boy is really cute, I liked checking through pictures of him with your dog!

oooh Solids! Woo Hoo! Have fun… so much great stuff out there. Nature’s Best baby food is good as well as Beech Nut. Oh, ok. They are all good. haha. Lots of variety. ;)

You’ll all be happy to know that sweet potato was much more well received than the banana and that Ezra likes avocado best so far (he just tasted a little bit of that one for the first time tonight)!
