This time it’s playing croquet on Easter:

Here’s me rockin’ out on Guitar Hero with Ezra strapped to me and fast asleep.
(Just kidding, I was absolutely awful at Guitar Hero; it’s right up there with bowling! It’s literally amazing how I can do so poorly on both!)

Ezra is trying his best to crawl, though he doesn’t quite have the upper body strength yet to make it work. His newest is figuring out that he can roll in the same direction to retrieve a toy or his binky (which he mainly likes to chew on rather than suck on — unless it’s time for bed). His front teeth have also come through the gum. All this explains the fussiness and lack of sleep we’ve had from him in the last few weeks! Hopefully a (good) new normality will commence.
Bryce and I also had our 2nd date on Friday night since Ezra was born. Well, it wasn’t exactly a date as all my lit students accompanied us. We went to see Cal State Fullerton’s production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” which was very well done. We *did* get to go out to dinner prior to the show, which was lovely, especially not having to eat one-handed or in 5 minutes flat.
We’re looking forward to Easter week and then the following weekend we’re going away, so we have much to anticipate!
So Ezra is in the 10th percentile at 15 lbs 9 oz at 6 months…he seems plenty big to me. Now where are these super-chunk babies?!
So, we have begun to start Ezra on solids. His first attempt was a banana; although he looks very interested in it, it came back up on both attempts. Next food: sweet potato!
Here’s the progression:
