Some More Pics & Info
There’s no internet access at the hospital, so I’m posting a quick update from the mall across the street (better food than the cafeteria).
As you’ve probably figured out by now, Ezra was born via c-section after about 30 hours of labor. The bottom line is baby’s heart was slowing down with every contraction. Not exactly what we expected, but we’re thankful that both he and Ashley are healthy.
Thanks for all the congratulations. We’ll probably be at the hospital until Sunday.
Those curious about his name may want to check out Ezra and Chalmers (Jonathan, James & D Strain may wonder if he was actually named after the most terrifying room in the world in which to preach, and they may be right:) ).
And now, what you all really want to see…

Thank you for the update and pictures! He is precious. Am I right in thinking he has some blonde fuzz for hair? So cute! I love the long fingers and big fist in the paparazzi (sp?) picture.

Katie, yes he actually has quite a bit of blonde hair. That was a surprise for us. Actually, that’s the first thing the Dr said when he pulled Ezra out.
Oh, and whoever commented about it before, baby boys can definitely be beautiful. That was the first things I told Ash about her son.

Which hospital did you have little Ezra at?

Shey he was born at Arcadia Methodist. We didn’t do the hospital pictures though — they always came in at the most inconvenient times!
