Whacky weather
When walking from the library to my office very, very tiny white flakes began to drop out of the sky. This of course just substantiates Scottish weather as it had been gloriously sunny no less than 5 minutes before. But I did expect such things as it’s been in the 20s early in the morning and later at night and lately, walking for about 5 minutes without my gloves makes my fingers instantaneously numb. One of my friends had no less than 5 layers on yesterday.
When I did climb my 4 flights of stairs, I looked at the window and the little flakes had turned into properly sized snowflakes. The tennis courts below me are solid white and I can’t see the Meadows for the snow. Our slate roofs now have a lovely dusting of white and all within the space of about 30 minutes. It’s gorgeous watching the fat flakes from my heated office, but I’m not leaving until I have to!

I almost took my camera with me today. Bummer.
I did get to ice skate most of the way home, though!

And as I look out my office window, I see a rather heavy rain falling. Of course, the whole county is on “Storm Watch” or “Flood Watch”. I’m sure we’ll have a fast water rescue by the end of the day for some idiot who thought lounging in a concrete ‘river’ channel is sane or thought he’d try a little city-based river rafting. Typical for ‘winter’ in So. California!

And in Waco, I’ve been wearing t-shirts and flip-flops all week. Crazy Texas.
