A quick post and impending doom.
Dear loyal readers,
Thank you once again for visiting our blog. July is certifiably nuts. (Happy 4th to all those Americans out there!). We’ve had a fabulous warm holiday in Skye and even got to go on a day-trip to Harris (in the outer Hebrides). Now we’ve returned to Edinburgh and my parents have joined us so we have 6 people in our flat, sharing meals and shower schedules. It’s a bit crazy but workable I think.
Bryce graduates tomorrow! Yay for Bryce! He shall look very cool in his academic regalia and kilt.
Pictures will be posted not to worry. Then we’re celebrating at a fab dinner at the Witchery, Scotland’s yummiest restaurant and with cool ancient-dining-hall-like atmosphere. I’m looking forward to it. I’m also looking forward to wearing my new dress.
Then we’re off to Amsterdam and Belgium with my parents for a week and then a weekend with the lovely Strains in London. Then it’s back to Edinburgh for a week before we ship out on the 25th. Movers come on the 20th. If any of you are interested in any of our things, let us know asap.
So here’s the impending doom: we think real life is a bit too crazy to keep TheLionRampant.Net going for much longer. Don’t worry we won’t shut down immediately and we’ll let you know how the transition is from Edinburgh to Pasadena, but I doubt once Bryce is working as a pastor and I’m trying to work on my PhD and plan my classes that much blogging will be done. I will however be on Intellectuelle blogging (see links to the right). I just wanted you to be prepared.

no more blog? that’s a shame.
Maybe you could do blog ‘lite’ and post us some pictures and a few lines to show us where you live and work, and how much more the sun shines than it does here!

Mr T crosses his arms and shakes his head disaprovingly at the news that there will be no more blog, but he is really happy about Bryces graduation and your upcoming jobs – and envious of your trip to Belgium. Mr T loves Belgium with all the good beer for the boys and chocolate for the girls and moules et frites for dinner (mussles and french fries)…mmm

Hope you have a fantastic day tomorrow, enjoy after all your hard work. Sad news that you will not be able to blog much although it is entirely understandable!! Would be lovely to hear how things are going from time to time though. I really hope that I get to see you guys before you head off home, and if I can be of any help with any of the moving stuff let me know. Enjoy the next few crazy weeks. Jo x

Hello from Berneray in the Outer Hebrides.
Did you get to see any of the beaches while you were out in Harris? There’s pictures of a few on my blog:

1. Yay for Bryce!
BUT–if it’s what you gotta do, I say go for it. And there’s always e-mail.
2. Yay for travel!
3. Boo for no bloggage!

[...] A few months ago we indicated that our blog was liable to be shut down upon our return to the US. Well…it’s been limping along for a few months now. So, it’s time to make a decision. Either we renew our blogging commitment and go for it, or shut this thing down. There’s obviously pros and cons to either decision. I think if we keep blogging I’m probably going to change directions a bit a not focus very much on day to day details of what we’re up to. [...]
