So long, farewell…

We went over to the Hays’ last night for the last time in a while. Sarah made us a yummy dinner plus some “pud” (short for pudding, i.e. dessert; it’s a Scotticism). We had fun walking down memory lane–listening to music of our childhood and early teenage years, trying to think what some of our best memories of Scotland were so far, and Jonathan and I even did some pseudo-cheerleading routines (toe-touches and all!). You can enjoy the pictures here. Come back here to make your comments!

Bryce is gone today at a conference with David Court, our pastor, the Hays and Randalls. I’m supposed to be doing work. I’ve done some laundry and finished up the report for Holyrood Conferences. I went out in the sun (it’s currently 66!) to read; I walked down to Holyrood Park and sat on the grass. I’m even wearing flip-flops and a skirt today. As I was listening to the wind move through the grass, I felt like I was at a CA beach when I closed my eyes (well, sort of…). I could feel the sun and the slight breeze along with a small prop plane flying overhead (like the ones at the beach with their banner advertisements) and it made me feel like I was a bit closer to home.

Now I’m gonna have a long think about my MSc dissertation and try to get this puppy figured out before we head off early Monday morning!
