Yeah, clearly this doesn’t mark the beginning of a change in the NY Times’ editorial policy. But the article was good. And I have no idea who Brooks is.
I’m often confounded by the medias use of ’spokespersons’ for various groups whether they be Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton for blacks or Falwell for Christians. How does one acquire such a position? I don’t remember voting for them! Good article. I doubt we’ll see any change in the invitees on the various news programs, however.

I doubt they would ever go with Stott over Falwell and Sharpton, unfortunately. News is entertainment.
Is this the same Brooks that wrote “Bobos in Paradise”? I have heard his name often, though I haven’t read any of his work.
