48 hours

We’re on a plane in exactly 48 hours. Still to do: clean flat, finish/start packing, wash dishes, cut B’s hair, cook for Xmas dinner, fold laundry from yesterday, get some work done, return movies, Bryce needs to finish up the last section of his licensure exam today, church and a party tonight, church and an all-day eating event tomorrow. And that’s the short list. Basically everything needs to be finished (ideally) today.

It doesn’t feel so much like Christmas; we don’t have a tree or presents for each other and we’ve been busy thinking about leaving and not so much about Christmas, which is pretty shoddy. Well, amidst all of the stuff to do, I’m excited to spend today with Bryce and am looking forward to church today and tomorrow. Happy Christmas to all our readers!

Here is a great article by John Frame about Christ as Immanuel and is great reading as you prepare for Christmas

Oh, and to get you all in the Christmas mood, here we are in the snow in Banchory from last weekend.

An all-day eating event - I like the way you put that. :) I feel like I haven’t seen you in forever, and now you’re leaving again. :(

I’m sure it will feel more like Christmas once you get to your parents’ house, and your mom cooks you yummy food. :)

I hope you are busy getting ready and not wasting time on the internet reading my comment.

Cooking is completed. Flat is somewhat more tidy. Bryce is holed up in the boxroom taking his exam and so, yes, Sarah, I am reading your comment now! I’ll go get back to work now!

Wow1 I thought my to-do list was long! It is always good to know that it will all get done! ( if not, just prioritize! ) We are off to church soon with Nana, Lisa and Katie. I know you will enjoy your church service and it will get you re-focused away from the busyness….that is what I am looking forward to this afternoon…just time to pray, be in His presence in worship and meditate on the meaning of Christmas. Iloved your picture in your jammies! Quite cute~ We are all so looking forward to your arrival and to celebrating Christmas and just spending time together…We are so blessed! Love and hugs to you both and it will soon feel like Christmas :-) Love, Mom
